Celebrate Freedom Picnic

July 1, 2007

First United Methodist Church Celebrates Independence with Food, Fun and Fellowship

The following are photographs taken at the Sunday evening fun event. We hope you enjoy them. The children's events were quite popular and very entertaining.

Rain?? Maybe??

The Shin-Dig was supposed to happen here on the West lawn, but rain forced us indoors. We had just as much fun and a GREAT musical program.

The Three F's   The Balloon Cellar

We advertised the 3 F's; Fun, Food and Fellowship.

Walter hands Susan a balloon for the decorations from where they grow them down in the balloon cellar.

Flag Rug   Balloon Tree

Folks showed off there patriotic flair with special crafts and decorations.

Balloon Trees were planted in the foyer.

Decorated Tables   The People Came

The tables were decorated with care.

Then the patriotic freedom fighters came to eat and have fun

and they kept coming   the crowd dined on fine cuisine; hot dogs, fried chicken and hand-cranked ice cream.

... and they kept coming!

What else would you serve at a pic-nic?   Some people waited in line so long, they fell asleep.
