Nursery Care

In addition to Sunday School classes, we also provide nursery care during all three worship services. See nursery brochure for more information about childcare. We are committed to providing a safe, clean, fun, comfortable, and loving environment for your child. Dedicated nursery staff and volunteers provide a dynamic program that will allow children to grow in their understanding and experience of what it means to live a life committed to Jesus Christ.

Preschool

Age-appropriate care and teaching is available for infants through 5 years located on the second floor of the East Education Wing. Curriculum is Biblically based to take seriously our commitment to nurture the children of FUMC in the Christian faith.

WORSHIP BAGS Worship bags are available for use during our services of worship. These bags contain Bible worksheets, crayons, books, etc. for quiet learning activities and the enjoyment of the children.

SONRISE VILLAGE

Elementary Children’s Sunday School is located in the lower floor of the East Education Wing called SonRise Village. Classes are divided into three age level classrooms where children arrive at 9:00 a.m. Early Elementary is the Kindergarten and First Graders and they meet in Room 129. The Middle Elementary is Second, Third and Fourth Graders, which meet in Room 127. The Upper Elementary is the Fifth Graders, and they meet in Room 123. All three groups gather for Assembly time in the “Big Room” to celebrate birthdays and sing and pray together after class at 9:50 a.m.. Children then return to their classrooms to gather belongings and papers before parents pick them up at 10:05 a.m. We are using curriculum called BIBLE IN LIFE, from David C. Cook publishing, and each age level is taught by dedicated teachers.

A great big thank you to everyone who attended the Safe Sanctuary Training after church last Sunday!  Thank you for being willing to serve in ministry with children and youth, and being willing to help make our church a safe place for all!

Children's IMPACT CAMP

The Church Van will be available to transport campers!  If you have a child signed up for Children's Impact Camp, who needs a ride to and from camp, please call the church office to confirm.  Children need to be in the church parking lot (by the church office) at 8:15 a.m. Monday, June 28.  They will be returning to the church on Thursday, July 1, around 3:00 p.m.  If you have children going into grades 3 through 6 this fall, that are not yet registered for camp, contact Joy Turner.  Phone: 972-253-3531 or email: joy@fumcirving.org.Many thanks to all of those who have contributed to the scholarships for camp this year!   Pathfinders Class, Challengers Class, Lou Brent, Jan Mayo, Ben & Lilly Finkenbiner,
