OUR SENIOR PASTOR

My name is David Turner and I welcome you to First Methodist in Irving. I hope you take advantage of this great opportunity to be spiritually fed. I feel like this line-up of evangelists is incredible. Rarely in the Church today do we have such an opportunity to experience an event like this one! I hope you take the opportunity to worship with us during this important time, our 100th year of doing the Lord's work.

OUR GOAL

The goal of our revival is to reach people for Jesus Christ, spread the love of Christ and renew and refresh our church and community with spiritual fire. It is our intention that it be an event that reaches beyond our church. If you are visiting with us, we are very happy. We know that many will come that have a church home and we simply hope you will take what you receive here and spread the excitement to others in your home church. If however you are looking for a home church, we would be very happy for you to choose First Methodist as your new home. You are welcome here. First Methodist is a church that is alive and spirit-filled. It is a place where the transforming power of God’s Spirit is present.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

UMYF REUNION - Saturday, September 6
The culmination of our celebration of the 100th birthday of our church starts with a UMYF Homecoming in the Fellowship Hall for former UMYF'ers on Saturday, September 6th

HOMECOMING/LUNCH - Sunday, September 7
Sunday morning, September 7, we begin a great spirit-filled brush-arbor style revival in the main worship center with a covered dish luncheon to follow.

REVIVAL - Sunday through Wednesday (September 7-10)
Our Revival continues on Monday the 8th through Wednesday September 10th. The revival service meets at 7:00 PM each night. Come and hear the dynamic preaching, spirit-filled singing and the great worship music as we remember, rejoice and rededicate ourselves and our church to the glory of God!
