Kum Doubles
Welcome
The Kum Doubles class is a fellowship of couples and singles
in their 50s and beyond who seek
a closer relationship with God through biblically-centered
lessons in a discussion setting. The class fellowship
extends beyond the bounds of the church grounds. We have monthly
activities and parties. We enjoy dining together at area
restaurants, attending Southern Gospel musical events and meeting at
members homes. We have a reputation for boisterous and hilarious parties
especially at Christmas. Great food, great fellowship and good
serious fun making joyful noise.
Classmates are friends of the closest sort - who can be
counted on in times of need; when you're hurting, when a big job
needs to be done and you can't get it done alone, at your
hospital bed, beside you sharing your joys and your sorrows. Most of all, we, the members of the
Kum Doubles class, desire to serve and please God in all we do,
both at church and in our daily living.
Our Archived Newsletter
The September Newsletter was the farewell edition of the Kum
Doubles Newsletter written and published by the ever-faithful
Jim Dayton. He has kept us informed, enlightened and entertained
over the years with his quips, quotes and messages from his
heart. We are going to miss you Jim. Thank you ever so much for
what you have given to us, to the church, to God's people and to
God himself. We have been blessed. Best wishes and God's grace
always to you and Judy and all of your family as you make your
new home in the Great White North of Michigan. Good Day, ay?

Our Cookbook
Taste
of Heaven Cookbook - members of our class have pooled
their secret and sacred family recipes handed down for
generations and recorded them in the
Kum Doubles "Taste of Heaven"
cookbook. The cookbook is on sale and all proceeds go
to support our church's missions. Copies will be on sale at the Lord's Acre
festivities and in the church office. These are collector's
items since the recipes are all one of a kind and only a few
books are left.
Cost is $10.00. Get your copy while you still can!
The recipes are superb and the presentation is top notch.
Thanks to Jim and Judy Dayton and Windell Bagett for their
hard work and God-given talent in putting this masterpiece
together for all to enjoy! Who knows, there may be a few
copies left! Check in the church office or with a Kum
Doubles class member for these collectors
items.
Focus
Our weekly classes are biblically-centered lessons in a discussion
setting. The class focuses on service projects throughout the year
and missions support. We help support many of FUMC's
missionaries and their families and other local service
needs through monetary donations
from our weekly giving, special collections and fund raising
projects.
