FUMC-Irving COVID-19 Response Sunday, March 15 and Sunday March 22 – Facebook Live Service Only

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ. The pastors and staff of First United Methodist Church of Irving have been monitoring the ever-changing information regarding the COVID-19 virus. The health and safety of our congregation is a top priority Therefore:
This Sunday, March 15, and next Sunday, March 22, we will hold Facebook Live worship services ONLY.  Sunday school is canceled as well. We invite you to worship in your home or with a small group at 10:30 AM these two Sundays.
I hope you and your loved ones will join us for a great worship service via Facebook Live at 10:30 AM on March 15 and March 22. We will be conducting full worship services led by David Lee, Matt Adamson, Yeonok Lee, Kyle Powell and myself.
Worshiping together is important to our faith journey. Because of this, I would like to encourage small home group worship. In addition to our Facebook live services, I would like to worship with you! Email me at doug@fumcirving.org with your name, address, phone number, and the time during this week that you would like to have worship in your home. We will gather in worship together to pray, sing, and share the good news of Jesus Christ! You can email me with times beginnings Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. I will contact you directly if there are any time conflicts. Let’s worship together!
We will be making ongoing decisions regarding worship services and other church events. We will keep our website (www.fumcirving.org) as up-to-date as possible.
Our main concern is the health and well-being of our congregation and our neighbors in the community. I hope you will join me in praying, washing your hands thoroughly, and doing whatever we can do to minimize the impact and spread of this virus. Remember, “God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7).
Blessings,
Doug Fox
P.S. If you are aware of people connected with our church who do not have access to email, please feel free to pass this information on to them.
