In 2019 we said goodbye to a wonderful Godly man; Jeff Baker. When Jeff and his wife, Connie, joined First United Methodist Irving, Pete McNabb, a church member at that time, visited them at home. Pete encouraged Jeff to read the Bible in a year. Jeff made the commitment in January and finished in September;

DCINY celebrated the Holiday Season with the World Premier of composer/conductor Joseph Martin’s Christmas Evergreens with the Distinguished Concerts Orchestra and Singers (of which our choir members were a part) as well as his festive work Christmas Dreams with co-composer/pianist Heather Sorenson.

Refuge Youth is starting up again beginning August 28th. Wednesdays at 7pm on the 2nd floor of the Family Life Center. Open to all youth 6th – 12th grades.

Participate in a Doctor of Ministry study with Pastor Doug Fox. Pastor Doug Fox is in need of adults to participate in a Tuesday or Thursday evening Bible Study (6 – 8:30 pm). Starts August 27, 29. Sign up at the ‘questions’ table. This is an 8 week study.
