Children’s Ministries
Free Friday is a monthly outreach for all children in Kinder-5th grade. It is typically on the 2nd Friday of each month.
We serve dinner, play games, make a craft and hear a bible story.

Sundays
Nursery
We offer childcare for infants to two years old in our nursery, starting at 9:15 on Sundays. Children listen to bible stories, complete art activities and play while you enjoy fellowship in adult Sunday school and during Worship.
Sunday School – 9:15 am to 10:15 am
We welcome children age 3-5th grade in our newly remodeled Kids’ Zone at 9:15. We will worship together by singing, reading the Bible and learning how to apply the lessons we learn. Our goal is to make each week’s lesson engaging and dynamic. We want your children to love coming to church!
All our Sunday School teachers and volunteers have passed a background check and completed Ministry Safe training.

Wednesday
Oasis – 4:45 pm to 6:00 pm
Enjoy a homecooked meal for a $5 for adults and $3 for children, once a month on Wednesday during the school year. Everyone is welcome!
Children’s Choirs
The Children’s Choirs are a part of our Wednesday night family program. Chidlren’s Choirs meet while school is in session.
Cherub Choir
Ages 3 to Kindergarten

WEDNESDAYS 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm
This energetic and joyful group nurtures the children in worshiping God through music. They learn a variety of songs, traditional and new, many times adding movement to their singing. They sing once a month in the 10:30 am worship service.
Angel Choir
1st to 5th grade

WEDNESDAYS 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm
Through this choir, children will learn about participating in worship, grow in their relationship with God, and develop friendships that can last a lifetime. This choir sings once a month in the 10:30 am service, and they put on a musical at the end of the season in May!
Chime Choir
3rd to 5th grade

Wednesdays 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm
Here is a great opportunity for kids to contribute to the worship service with instruments. Children can be a part of this group whether or not they have had music lessons, and they love learning how to play hand chimes. This choir plays once a month at the 10:30 am service.
The Little Things
Cry Room
In the back of the Sanctuary is our “Cry Room”. It may be accessed from the hallway, and ushers will gladly direct you to it. It is a great place to take a fussy little one who can’t quite make it through the service, while still being able to listen to the worship and see through the one way glass.
Worship Bags
These are canvas bags with Children’s Bulletins, crayons, and books that are provided each week, and usually go along with the sermon. These keep little ones busy in church so parents are free to enjoy the service!
Monthly Events
Free Friday Fun Nights are for children in kindergarten-fifth grade. Children learn a bible story, play games, make a craft and eat a meal together. You can use this link to register your child for our next Free Friday Fun Night.

Each month we host a special event. Past events include our Fall Festival, Easter Egg Hunt, Swimming Parties, and Game Nights.

Bible Camp
A fun, overnight retreat in September for 3rd to 5th grades from all across our North Texas UMC Conference. Contact children@fumcirving.org for more information.
Lake Bridgeport Summer Camp
Children in 3rd to 5th grades attend Lake Bridgeport Summer Camp with other children from the North Central Conference for a week in June/July. Enjoy a great opportunity for fun, fellowship and spiritual growth.
